- What it is
- What we offer
- Who does this (our staff)
- Showcase (links to what we've done)
- Contact/email information
- Accessibility
- Use Flash (within DoIT constraints)
- Well thought out and integrated
- Really nice looking pages (plus accessibility where possible)
- Personal pages of staff
- We do the following referenced from Faculty/Staff pick off DoIT Home page
- Training (workshops)
- Facilities(infolab, new media)
- Grants and Funding
- Technology for Instruction
- Links from/Comes to us from
- DoIT catalog
- PTE
- New Media
- Infolab (Leave out)
- ATS Page
Assigned Tasks
- Site map of new site
- Cid is creating an overview site map
- I tried to find out what pages link to the current sites (Lira, LTDE, LS) to determine how many URL's we will break
- Amazingly, DoIT does not offer any website analysis services
- No Log analysis of path frequency
- No tools to map an existing site
- I tried using the ATT Graphviz directed graph tool to do a site map
- It works well and is simple to use and make changes to
- Showed it to Cid
- test assumptions made so far
- Not sure how to do this; but revisit notes after we have a site map
- Obtain from marketing the new templates
- Cid tried - they are only in illustrator and they didn't want to give them out
- Send Jack's Asset Mgmt URL to Sandee
- Done - she will look at it when she returns
- Attempt to redesign my Asset Mgmt page for external customers
- not sure how to do this as I hadn't planned to sell services outside of LS
- My page has
- Mission
- Goals
- Staff
- Functions we perform
- On specific projects
- In preparation of Projects (acquire infrastructure)
- Reusability (Asset mgmt's driving principle)
- Procedures and guidelines for things we have decided on
- Desktop software cataloging
- Desktop software metering
- Links to existing reusable assets
- Infrastructure
- Ask 12 area leaders to come up with similar detail for their own page
